How to use Nano Banana 2.1 in a repeatable visual workflow
Start with the image's intended use: a product listing, social post, poster or storyboard frame. Describe subject, framing, lighting, materials and the textβif anyβthat should appear. For an edit, supply references and identify which elements to preserve versus replace. Choose a supported aspect ratio and 1K, 2K or 4K resolution. The generator shows the credit estimate before you submit. Inspect typography, logos, hands and product details afterward; generated images still require human review.
Create with Nano Banana 2.1 βFrom brief to usable image
Start with a practical brief
Specify where the image will be used and what must be visible, rather than relying on a style keyword alone.
Reference roles are explicit
Explain whether each uploaded image supplies identity, composition, palette or a product detail.
Select output for the destination
Choose portrait, square, landscape or wide ratios before selecting the required 1Kβ4K detail level.
Understand the editing surcharge
Reference-image edits cost one additional credit compared with a text prompt at the same resolution.
Choose a useful file format
Use JPG for compact previews or PNG when you prefer a lossless export for further design work.
Review before release
Check lettering, branding, anatomy, counts, and small print instead of assuming generative accuracy.
